CHILD CARRIER

We scored this Osprey child carrier on Facebook Marketplace and it has carried Kai on some pretty epic adventures this past year. It has an adjustable seat to fit Kai as he grows, tons of storage space where we keep his snacks, toy cars and even our phones. It fits me (5'3 perfectly and is adjustable to fit Brandon (5'7). We started using it when Kai was 1 year old and now he is 2.5 years old and we have noticed he is getting a little big for it in weight. It can hold up to a 4 year old but he is so heavy now that it's a little too much for my small body frame. He loves to hike now anyway so we will keep this for the next babe!

These carriers can be a little pricey (totally worth it!) but always check your local Fb Marketplace or yard sales, you'd be surprised! When buying used gear, make sure to inspect it thoroughly. We checked all the adjustment straps, zippers, fabric, etc.

WATER SHOES

I love these sandals! These are CHACOS and thanks to my sister-in-law for telling me about them because they have become my favorite water sandal. They are easy to put on, easy to strap and adjust to your feet perfectly. I've hiked some muddy trails and walked through rivers with these bad boys on and I love them! They come in pretty colors too! I'm trying convince the hubby to get a pair because they are just perfect for outdoor water adventures. I'll never buy another water sandal again.

TODDLER HIKING BACKPACK

Now that our little guy is climbing and walking around with us, we decided to get him his own hiking backpack! This one from REI is perfect! It's just the right size for his little body and can fit a lot of stuff. We don't pack it full of course due to the weight on his little body but he loves keeping his snacks, juice and toy cars in it. It has several pockets and the material is very durable! Highly recommend!

MY HIKING PACK

Now that our little guy wants to hike

more on his own, I carry a hiking bag for us. I had researched for many days on different day packs and wasn't content on the results. I had so many saved on my phone and just couldn't decide. I then walked into a Cabela's and saw this Osprey. As mentioned above, our baby hiking carrier is Osprey and we love it! It's held up over the years on some rough terrain and we know we can put our baby girl in it as well.

I saw this pack and it was perfect. It came with a hydration reservoir, it has a back brace which allows for comfortability, so many pockets and spots to hang carabiners. I carry our First Aid Kid right in the front for easy access.

It fits my DSLR camera, clothing layers for my son and I, snacks and so much. It's not too big and not too small. I wish I had found this pack sooner!

OUR HIKING SHOES

We both have Keen hiking shoes. I researched for many weeks on the best hiking boots as well and I landed with these for so many reasons and I am so glad I did! I have tried many in the past both name brand and not-so-popular brands. Kai has had many cheap ones and Keens are now are favorite!
